One thousand locals welcome in the festive season at Vale’s Carols by Candlelight

Around 1000 local residents joined Multiplex Living for Vale’s Carols by Candlelight held at the community’s brand new Central Park Amphitheatre in Aveley.

Anthony Rowbottam, Managing Director of Multiplex Living – Communities said the concert proved to be a perfect opportunity to share in the Christmas spirit and check out the brand new Central Park at Vale.

“The Vale Carols by Candlelight was a great family event.  We were overwhelmed by the number of locals who joined us to welcome in this season’s festivities,” he said. 

“Residents seized the opportunity to wander around the brand new Central Park before and after the concert.  The purpose built amphitheatre proved a great location for the event and I’m sure we will see plenty more community groups utilising the facilities for concerts and events throughout the coming year.

“Everyone who attended Vale’s Carols by Candlelight brought with them a good dose of Christmas cheer – it was a great way to get the festive season off on the right note!

“Based on the success of this year’s event, Vale’s Carols by Candlelight will likely become an annual tradition,” Mr Rowbottam said.

The Swan Valley Anglican Community School choirs led the entertainment with stunning solo performances by t some talented students and staff.  Courtney Murphy lit up the stage with his own rendition of Harry Connick Junior’s ‘(It Must’ve Been Ol’) Santa Claus’ and got the crowd singing and swaying as MC.

Santa also paid a visit upon a Harley Davidson motorcycle and was mobbed by the crowd, eager to prove they had been good this year, with his merry band of helpers he added a final sprinkle of Christmas fun to the event.

Vale’s Carols by Candlelight, hosted by Multiplex Living, is the first of many free community events of the Summer Season put on by the developers for the enjoyment of local residents.  Keep an eye out for future events including the Cinema under the Stars series and a Market Day.
